Product Description of Sodium Xylene Sulfonate CAS# 1300-72-7
Sodium xylene sulfonate is a white to pale yellow liquid surfactant with complete water solubility. Its 1% aqueous solution features a pH value of roughly 7.0. At 20°C, its dynamic viscosity stands at approximately 10 mPa·s and kinematic viscosity is 2.7 mm²/s.
It serves as a multi-functional additive, functioning as a coupling agent, solubilizer, cloud point depressant, detergent builder, dispersant, emulsifier, hydrotrope and viscosity regulator.
Sodium xylene sulfonate has extensive applications in shampoos, domestic cleaners, dishwashing formulations, dry-cleaning agents, hard-surface cleaners, metal cleaning agents, disinfectants, adhesives, dyes and pigments, electroplating baths, lubricating cutting fluids, photographic chemicals, printing inks, textile treatment and leather processing industries.
