Products Description of Petroleum Benzene CAS#71-43-2
Petroleum Benzene ,molecular formula C₆H₆, is a clear, volatile aromatic liquid obtained from naphtha reforming and steam cracking of crude oil. It has a distinctive sweet aromatic odour, slightly soluble in water while fully miscible with alcohols, ethers and other common organic solvents. As a mainstream petrochemical aromatic raw material, it features stable quality and low impurity content compared with coking benzene.
It is highly flammable and classified as toxic, so proper ventilation, flame control and personal protective measures must be enforced during storage, transport and handling.

Product Application of Petroleum Benzene CAS#71-43-2
Petroleum benzene serves as a cornerstone feedstock for the petrochemical aromatic chain. It is widely converted into ethylbenzene and styrene for polystyrene, SBR rubber and composite polymer materials. It can also be processed into cumene for phenol‑acetone production, cyclohexane for nylon‑6 raw materials, as well as nitrobenzene and aniline for polyurethane and dyestuff intermediates.
It is adopted to manufacture alkylbenzene for surfactant and detergent production. It can be used as an industrial solvent for grease and resin dissolving in limited approved scenarios.
